Facebook Planning to Push Ads on WhatsApp
Recently, Facebook has to suffered a lot due to the data controversy. Later on, WhatsApp founder, Jan Koum, has left the company. Now at F8 Developer Conference, Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg has acknowledged the departure of the Koum. Now according to some reports, the reason of his departure is weakening the security of WhatsApp. As some reports are claiming that Facebook is Planning to Push Ads on WhatsApp Soon.
Facebook is planning to push ads on WhatsApp to earn more Revenue
Zuckerberg recognized Koum’s contribution to making WhatsApp the world’s largest encrypted messaging service. On the other hand, many analysts has predicted that showing ads on WhatsApp is one of the reasons of his departure. Some claim that Koum had long opposed monetization using the app, especially so soon after Facebook had acquired it.
Last year in July, Facebook announced to show ads within the Messenger app. However, WhatsApp has around 1.5 billion active users per month, which is nearly twice what Messenger has, and that provides a great potential to Facebook’s ad revenue.
On the other hand, WhatsApp is working hard to make its app more user-friendly and easy. Now-a-days, using WhatsApp is a need for everyone. No doubt, showing Ads on WhatsApp will increase the WhatsApp revenue. However, Facebook has not announced anything regarding this yet.
