Haleeb Foods partners with Kőröstej Ltd. at Pakistan-Hungary business meeting
Lahore – May 28, 2020: Haleeb Foods Limited the pioneer dairy and beverages processor in Pakistan has inked an agreement with Kőröstej Ltd. – Hungary’s leading cheese producer. This collaboration is made in order to introduce world-class cheese varieties in the local market. HFL plans to take advantage of the rich legacy of Kőröstej since they are one of the leading European producers and exporters of over 160 varieties of cheese. This partnership in addition to creating healthy competition amongst the local players shall definitely provide consumers with rich choices.
In this regard, an MoU was signed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Islamabad. Mr. Syed Mazher Iqbal, CEO Haleeb Foods, and Dr. Riad Naboulsi. MD/ CEO Kőröstej Limited signed the MoU on cooperation in presence of Foreign Ministers of both countries.
Sharing his views on this collaboration, Mr. Syed Mazher Iqbal said “We were in contact with our counterparts for a long time now and are excited to enter into this very well thought of collaboration. HFL is a household name for decades offering superior quality dairy and beverage products in the country. We find it the right time to enter into a segment of value-added products to cater to the ever-increasing needs of Pakistani consumers. We are currently working on the right mix to be introduced in the market, which can reduce reliance on otherwise very expensive imported products. Taking advantage of our partners’ experience coupled with a global presence, we are very confident to serve the consumers from domestic to food services.”
